So it’s been a while since I last posted and I’ve gotten a better idea what my usage is now.
Turns out the tank I bought is 120 Gallons. The tank I had from Dassel’s was 250 Gallons.
A fill has been lasting me about twice as long with a tank half the size
Well you must be a fucking moron. I guess you’re lovin’ paying about 90 cents per gallon more for your gas too. And the service from Amerigas sucks too just wait and see.
So Dassel’s is cheaper per gallon. Lot of good that is when half, or more, of the gas is leaking into the air due to Dassel’s leaking equipment and their refusal to test, maintain or repair it. When you consider how much I paid for that wasted gas I’m saving a lot more than 90 cents a gallon.
I had Amerigas for years before I switched to Dassel’s. The “delivery service” is no better or worse than Dassel’s. But if I suspect a leak Amerigas responds quickly. Dassel’s response is “Oh, we don’t provide that service”.
I value my property and the lives of my family and myself enough that I’ll gladly pay extra for the peace of mind.
And that’s assuming it was due to a leak. For all I know they could have just been charging me for more propane than they delivered. I stopped using Dassel’s tank and regulator at the same time I quit buying propane from them so there’s no way for me to know for sure.
